This collaged series titled, ‘My submission to the National Geographic’, is about disrupting landscapes and experimenting with scale, to explore topics of environmentalism in a light-hearted and digestible manner, highlighting the absurdity of human impact on our environment.
The cyclative element of found and re-purposed imagery is an important factor in facilitating environmental discourse in this body of work. Using old National Geographic books found in Charity shops to source this series, the collages pay an homage to the importance of sustainability and protecting what we have, whilst being a gentle reminder of the footprint we have already left.
